We were glad to join with the Harrow Association of Disabled People (HAD) to march for more Taxicard journeys for people with disabilities and mobility difficulties in Harrow.
On the 3rd of December, we marched all the way from the Red Brick Cafe in Wealdstone to Harrow Council’s offices at the Civic Centre, to handover a petition asking for Harrow residents to be given the same number of Taxicard journeys as people in other boroughs.
People from Barnet and Hillingdon get one return trip every week, but Harrow residents only get one every two and a half weeks. The lack of journeys makes life incredibly difficult for many people who struggle to get around as our video below about the Taxicard campaign will show you:
