Learning Disability Nurse Campaign wins Parliamentary Award

At Harrow Mencap, we are committed to making sure people with a learning disability can have a say over the decisions that impact their lives, just like any other citizen.

That is why we held a hustings event ahead of the 2021 London Elections.

The event gave our self-advocates, clients, their families, carers and other residents an opportunity to meet local candidates for the London Assembly for Brent and Harrow, and Ealing and Hillingdon, and discuss issues that matter to them.

The candidates who joined us for a lively session were:

Gregory Stafford, Conservative Party Candidate for Ealing and Hillingdon.
Emma Jane Wallace, Green Party Candidate for Brent and Harrow.
Marijn van de Geer, Green Party Candidate for Ealing and Hillingdon.
Krupesh Hirani, Labour Party Candidate for Brent and Harrow.
