A Harrow Mencap client has just won a Jack Petchey Award.

Ricky who is a client on our Cedars Day Opportunities programme was nominated for the award as an "outstanding achiever."

The Jack Petchey Foundation which celebrates young people and their successes in London and Essex, awarded Ricky for his hard work in photography.

Ricky's achievements were recognised while he was working as part of a group who are currently building a garden at the Cedars Youth and Community Centre.

In this role Ricky’s task was to take photographs of nature and wildlife as part of a conservation programme in London.
