We are proud to welcome Charlotte Thomson to our Board of Trustees as the newest member.

Harrow Mencap trustees unanimously voted for Charlotte to join the board at their meeting on 24th July.

Charlotte said:

I'm happy and excited, I feel honoured to be on the trustee board.

Harrow Mencap CEO Deven Pillay also sent his congratulations to Charlotte.

He said:

We are extremely pleased to welcome Charlotte as a trustee on the Harrow Mencap Group board. Apart from volunteering with our Children and Young People’s Services, she has also been an ambassador and activist representing young people with learning disabilities on a number of fronts for the organisation. Her passion and enthusiasm for an inclusive society will bring renewed energy to the work of the organization. We are looking forward to working with Charlotte in her new role.

Charlotte first joined Harrow Mencap as a client on our Skill Up programme and has since supported the organisation as a volunteer with our Children and Young People's Services and as a leading ambassador on many of our campaigns.

She has engaged with MPs, Cabinet Ministers and local politicians on various issues including transport, accessible voting and Brexit.

Congratulations Charlotte, we can't wait to start working with you in your new role!
