We were delighted to hear our Participation Manager Jordan Creed speaking on Radio Harrow last week about our upcoming workshop "Friendships and You". He also spoke about other issues surrounding learning disability and the work of Harrow Mencap.

Jordan told listeners about the event and all that Harrow Mencap is doing to address loneliness among people with learning disabilities after the success of our forum last November. Our workshop will be on the 30th of January from 5 - 6:30 PM at the Red Brick Cafe in Wealdstone. The event aims to help anyone with additional needs to make new friendships and relationships in Harrow.

The event will also cover what makes a good friendship/relationship and how to be safe in them. This will involve discussing the difference between a relationship/friendship and what is involved in a healthy/safe friendship with someone else.  All attendees will be offered a free drink from the Red Brick Café provided by Harrow Mencap.

The closest station to the Red Brick Cafe is Harrow and Wealdstone. If you need any help getting to the workshop or have any other questions please call us on 07496494379, you can also let us know if you are coming on Eventbrite by clicking the link below:
