We are proud of our Connecting Communities team who led a fantastic two week Summer festival of community events and fundraising activities.

The team joined together with churches, supermarkets, banks, restaurants and others locally for the festival.

The team ran events and collections every day across Harrow, Hillingdon and Brent.

Here is a report of some of the highlights:

Thursday June 27th - Coffee Morning at All Saints Church

We were honoured to run a special festival event at All Saints Queensbury Thursday morning June 27th.

Everyone was made so welcome by the minister Kate Blake whilst cedars clients and volunteers did a wonderful presentation of all the valued work they are doing in the community. 


Friday June 28th - Lunch at the Water’s Edge

The team hosted a fantastic lunch with Age UK Hillingdon and Cllr Philip Corthorne Cabinet Member Social Care at Water’s Edge Ruislip.

It was lovely working with Age UK Hillingdon to co-organise an Event of this nature. 30 people thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Monday July 1st - Roger the Magician and Vegetarian Meal at Pinner Green

Tuesday 2nd - July Karaoke and Lunch at St. John’s

Our team held a great karaoke and lunch event at St. John the Baptist Church with Cllr Krishna Suresh.

Wednesday 3rd July 2019 - Lunch and Presentation at St. Anselm’s with the Mayor of Harrow

Saturday 6th July 2019 - More than just a Choir Concert at  St. Emmanuel Church

Monday 8th July - Show at Northwood Methodist Church

Tuesday 9th July - Special lunch and Books Beyond Words Presentation

This project was initiated by our volunteer Stephen Hall.

Friday 12th July - Launch of Cedars Lunch Club at Emmanuel Church

Saturday 13th July - Afternoon Tea and Show at Whitby Care Home

Monday 15th July - Lunch at the Meeting Place
