On Friday 23 October, 6 walkers from Connecting Communities enjoyed a lovely walk in the countryside around Chorleywood, Chenies and Chalfont.

With assistance from long-term volunteer Andrew O'Brien, our Connecting Communities Manager Jeremy Child joined with Josephine, Julia, James and Charles to lead a challenging walk.

After a walk for a good 3 and a half hours traversing muddy paths and other obstacles, the group discovered a delightful restaurant in Chorleywood called Herons.

Restaurant manager Matteo and his staff made the group feel extremely welcome and served them a delicious lunch.

After their meal, the group continued for another 3 miles, finishing at dusk.

The team had a fabulous time and are planning to go for a Christmas walk along the same route on 11 December, with another visit to Herons.

Well done everyone!
