Our Connecting Communities team are proud to release a roundup of their bumper programme of fundraising and community activities in and around Harrow throughout December last year.

"The highlights of the month were new organisations who worked tirelessly to raise very good monies for us. It was magnificent to see Connecting Communities Events thriving across Harrow, Hillingdon, Brent and Barnet throughout the periods and having an ever increasing diversity of people joining us from day to day." said Jeremy Child who leads our Community Fundraising.

We worked together with both old and new partners including faith and community groups, businesses, care homes and our members from Cedars, Skill Up and Pinner Green. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our supporters, volunteers, members and staff who took part throughout the month.

We cannot wait to see all the exciting events and activities our Connecting Communities team will arrange throughout this year.

The highlight of the month had to be the beautiful Christmas Show at St John`s Church, Sheepcote Road, Central Harrow with the annual Christmas Concert from the Apollo Male Choir once again.

The choir entertained the audience with a variety of classic Christmas carols and songs and received an enthusiastic response from the audience.

One of the audience members had this to say about the event: "This was the most beautiful Christmas concert I’ve heard, getting everybody in the right spirit for the annual festival."

Another said, "Great concert, I look forward to the next time."

We thoroughly enjoyed the choir’s performance and were delighted to have raised £313. We would like to say a big thank you to Costa Coffee for generously providing free tea and coffee at the event.
