Two clients from our Cedars Day Opportunities made a fantastic contribution to the community by making and donating bird boxes to Raynersmede Park locally.

The two young men built the bird boxes from scratch by themselves. They enjoyed having another opportunity to use the skills they learned while working on their very own garden at Cedars. The pair used tools such as saws, screws, electric and manual screw drivers and electric drills.

Friends from Cedars and others came to support the pair and watch the park keeper put the bird boxes up in different trees. Jaime, another of our clients has said she will keep an eye on the bird boxes and let us know if any birds decide to nest in them.

We are looking forward to the next exciting projects to come out of Cedars!
