The Launch of a year long programme took place on 13th January 2010 at the Sainsbury’s Superstore in Kenton. This popular event was attended by Harrow’s Mayor Councillor Asad Omar.
A high-light of the day was a play (directed with panache by Steve Porter) with Budding Artists from HARROW MENCAP’s ACTIVITY CENTRE performing as Anthony Hopkins, Dame Judy Dench, Meera Syal and Sir John Gielgud – with a stunning appearance by the Reindeer!!.
We were delighted also to be supported by Guitarist – MARK ANTHONY ADAMS who was joined by Bollywood Singer- SHAID ABAS KHAN.
A brilliant year ahead is anticipated with more shows, football training, t shirt making and a children’s treasure hunt (around the store!)
We extend our warm thanks to Phil Corthorn - Human Resource Manager and Bill Burch - Store Manager - thank you we really appreciate being your Charity of the Year!
