Harrow Mencap runs an advocacy service for people with learning disabilities.

What is the aim of the project?

The aim of the project is to work with people with learning disabilities in Harrow to help them speak up and have more choice and control in their lives. The Advocacy project has also employed a person with a learning disability.

 What does the advocacy project provide?

• One to one support for people with learning disabilities who are dealing with a particular issue
• Supporting self-advocacy groups for people with learning disabilities in Harrow.
• Support for parents and carers of people with learning disabilities in Harrow.
